Antonio Sgarbossa

Born in Fontaniva (Padua) in 1945, Antonio Sgarbossa began his artistic career at just twelve years old, attending a ceramics workshop in the Bassano area. It was there that he developed a precocious and profound passion for color and material.

His painting is a journey through memory, light, and atmosphere. In his works—which range from Venetian landscapes to interiors and figures—light is never a mere detail, but the beating heart of the image, capable of shaping forms and evoking intense emotions.

Over the course of his career, he has exhibited in numerous galleries and art fairs in Italy and abroad (including Padua, Vicenza, Reggio Emilia, Forte dei Marmi, and Vienna). His works are part of important public and private collections, such as the Galleria Civica in Trieste, the "Giuseppe Sciortino" Museum in Monreale, and the National Museum of Ukrainian Art in Lviv, as well as being presented in prestigious institutional venues such as the European Parliament in Brussels.
