Jacopo Rumignani was born in Pisa in 1966. He graduated from the Art School in Venice and, after attending the Academy of Fine Arts, completed his studies with a Master's in Color Science at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. He opened an interior decoration and set design studio, which he still runs today. He subsequently explored various techniques, including fresco painting under the guidance of maestro Sergio Favotto and mosaics, collaborating with master mosaicist Igor Marziali. He also explored murals, winning third prize in the butterfly-themed competition in Bordano (UD). His artistic career ranges from trompe-l'oeil to land art, where he participated and won first prize in the Sea Sun Flowers competition in Lignano Sabbiadoro. A real turning point in his pictorial communication occurred during the Covid pandemic. The powerful impact of these events led him to a pictorial exploration of color contrasts, where light and shadow interact to construct the structure of his figures—figurative architectures delineated with palette knives and accentuated by the use of fluorescent pigments. When exposed to UV light, his works reveal a second emotional interpretation.
